There are a few things in life that makes the jaw drop. It could be out of pure surprise
like being the recipient of good news. Or perhaps the shocking discovery of a open
car window in the middle of winter..
But then, sometimes it lies in the “before” and “after”. Maybe weight loss. Those photos
of a lady posing in a pair of jeans where you can fit a small soccer team in.
Or the before and after of a complete makeover. Those are the jaw droppers
that you want to show your partner or share with a friend.
It’s inspiring, exciting and just plain jaw dropping.
We recently scrolled through some old photos and thought we’ll
give you a before and after look of Black River Cottages.
Located in Prince Edward County, Black River Cottages was bought in 2012 and over
the course of 6 years underwent complete renovations.
Hummingbird:
A trusted, retired friend was the backbone behind the hard labour of the reno’s and for
the first three years he worked solo. After that a family member joined forces and these
two men worked year round. Diligent, precise and thorough.
Woodpecker:
Everything and I mean E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G was replaced.. plumping, roofs, electricity, toilets, fixtures,
appliances, furniture, cupboards, windows, flooring, drywall, decks, doors…
You name it!
Owl (Hawk, Robin and Blue Jay):
With the owner being a full-time yacht captain and world-wide traveler it took
fine planning and communication to upgrade the property. Due to the strong
work ethic and capability of these two hard working baby boomers,
the renovations were running on greased wheels.. smooth. The goal
was to create a space for families to be comfortable, that can
be enjoyed and to provide quality furnishings!
Interior of Sparrow (Starling, Chickadee and Hummingbird):
2015 was an exciting year, as it was the opening of the first four completed cottages. Having a good rhythm, the rest of the cottages were completed over the course of the next three years.
Swan:
Looking for family friendly, waterfront cottage rentals, close to Sandbanks Provincial Park, in the wine region , with lots of kid’s activities, look no further and CHECK. US. OUT!
This is the spot for weekend getaways, summer holidays, family reunions, honeymooners, baby boomers and cozy winter hideouts.
